Nawurapu's Mokuy, skeletal forms in their original state of carved jungle timber and painted with natural earth pigments had their first public exposure with the 'Bitpit' carving exhibition with Raft Gallery in 2008. The same year a group of 5 were a popular entry to the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (acquired by the Queensland Art Gallery) and last year more 'Mokuy' went to Russia on invitation to the 3rd Moscow Biennale.
