Rrawun Maymuru

Four-track EP called Local Knowledge, featuring bonus DVD. Digital Album: http://rrawunmaymuru.bandcamp.com/releases Maymuru took up the guitar at age 15, listening to local band Yothu Yindi and playing along. Since then it has been a meteoric rise, joining Yothu Yindi in his early 20s and touring Europe with the group, as well as playing with his own band. Maymuru sings in Yolngu matha, keeping language strong, with acoustic sounds that are contemporary and recognisable.
